Makiling (band) performs an original instrumental piece called "Hegablues". It's music is based on traditional blues music but the hegalong plays the lead instead of the guitar.
The hegalong is a native Philippine 2-stringed guitar tuned pentatonically. Makiling uses a customized hegalong with added amplification and pitches.
